There is a lovely interiors shop on Winchmore Hill Green in north London called The House.. I have walked past it many times over the years and admired it's beautiful displays of sumptuous wall-coverings and quality interior products. How lovely it has been then, to have one of my own creations on display there for the past few weeks. I love the idea of local businesses and local artists working together because what we do is a little different. Giving individualised service and selling something extra special for your home........ something that has not been mass-produced. The Mayona pendant shimmers quietly in the window for another week or so, giving a cosy glow to passers by on these cold, dark evenings. Soon it will be a new year, a new display and lots of new lighting designs. And so I wish you all a very happy 2018!
Its almost the end of December and Christmas is just around the corner. It is difficult not to get swept up by all the busyness but I usually manage to find time to enjoy the little details of Christmas....watching old Christmas films, listening to carols while I write my cards and wrap presents and decorating my home - not too much, but with just some understated decorations. Being prone to making things, I could not resist making some decorations of my own...... These have been so lovely to make and like all my work: no two are exactly the same, and they let light shine through! They are currently on sale at MyTime cafe in Palmer's Green in north London, a delightful place to have a quiet cuppa, a tasty lunch or a relaxing cocktail in the evening. So I hope that you too can find some quiet moments amongst the hustle and bustle of all the festive preparations..... and enjoy!
Happy Christmas! Welcome to my blog.
This is where I hope to share with you what inspires me, and thoughts that I have about light, lighting, peaceful spaces, being creative and more. |
